It's good news for law students from India and abroad, as India's premiere institute, the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has decided to grant admission to its 3 year LLB program in Intellectual Property Laws to students on the basis of the score achieved at the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).
Pearson VUE, the global leader in assessments and testing, administers the LSAT.
LSAT-India is a standardized test designed for admission to Indian law school by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), USA, which also administers the LSAT-global used by leading law schools worldwide. LSAT-India provides a standard measure of acquired reading and analytical and logical reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of several factors in assessing applicants.
With this development, the law school in IIT Kharagpur has become the only IIT to give recognition to LSAT. The Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (RGSOIPL) has been set up in IIT kharagpur in collaboration with the George Washington University Law School in this respect.
Eligibility: Students with LSAT-India or LSAT-global scores within India and abroad.
