Admission Notification: Indian Navy SSC Pilot Recruitment June 2012 Batch

The Indian Naval Academy (NAVAC, also known as INA or Ezhimala) is the initial officer training establishment of the Indian Navy, located in Ezhimala, Kerala. It conducts basic training for all officers inducted into the Indian Navy. 

Course

The Indian Navy invites applicants as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officers for the  Pilot / Observer Course that would begin in June2012 at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala.

Candidates will be inducted under Short Service Commission Scheme. Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirement and performance / willingness of the candidate. On completion of these tenures, officers are entitled for gratuity under the extant rules. The Officers will be on probation for a period of two years, during which they are liable to be discharged if their performance is unsatisfactory.

Pilot Entry

Pilot candidates will be inducted as Cadets and undergo Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. This will be followed by Stage I and Stage -II flying training at the Air Force Academy / Naval establishments. On successful completion of Stage II training the Cadets will be awarded wings and commissioned as Sub-Lieutenants.

Observer Entry

Observer candidates will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala followed by professional training at various Naval Training Establishments / Units / Ships. Full pay and allowances are admissible to officers whilst under training.


Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy SSC Pilot Recruitment 2012

The applicants should be between the age 19 to 23 years born between 02 Jan 1989 and 01 Jan 1993; both dates inclusive.

Note :Applicants who have Failed in PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Test) earlier are not eligible for Pilot Entry, but can apply for the Observer Entry scheme.

Education Qualifications:A graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks. Should have qualified Mathematics & Physics at 10 +2 level.

Note : Candidates who have not completed their Degree (i.e. appearing candidates) cannot apply

Physical Standards for Indian Navy Courses

(a)Height and Weight. Minimum height for men should be 162.5 cms and for women, 152 cm with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. The applicant should not be colour / night blind.

Note: There will be no relaxation in Physical Standards.

Merit list of SSR 02/2012 batch and AA 132 batch will be declared on June 29, 2012

Merit List for MR/ NMR 02/2012 batch will be declared on August 24, 2012


Application Procedure for Indian Navy SSC Pilot Recruitment 2012

Candidates have the option of submitting application in Physical format or e-application for this Entry. Candidate can only apply in one of the aforementioned formats. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature. The candidates desirous of applying online (e-application) can do so from 05 Oct 2011. The online application registration will cease on 31 Oct 2011.

For filling a application online click here and proceed as follows:- 

  • Click on the "Officer Entry" button under the option Apply Online. 
  • Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields have been provided as you highlight each field.   
  • Before clicking the Submit button it should be checked whether all the details entered in the form is correct because you will not be able to make any corrections after saving the record.
  • After submitting the form, a Roll Number will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. This rollnumber will automatically available on the print out of the online application form. If the system does not generate the Roll Number, it is an indication of non-acceptance of Application by the system. 
  • Candidates are required to print the Application form with the system generated Roll Number.
