Aryabhatta College used to be known as Ram Lal Anand College (Evening) before the academic session 2014-2015. The college was established in 1973, and it operates as a constituent college of Delhi University. This co-educational institution is based near the South Campus. The admission here is based on the Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Arts, Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Science, and Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Commerce. This admission procedure is the same as is followed by all other DU colleges.
Aryabhatta College offers Arts and Humanities, Commerce, and Science courses. Thus, students can get admission in the desired programmes at the undergraduate level. Aryabhatta College cut-off list refers to the list that provides the minimum marks percentage required for taking admission in a specific course. There is Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Arts, as well as Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Commerce and Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Science, declared separately for all Arts, Science and Commerce courses offered to 12th-pass students with eligible scores.
Aryabhatta College cut-off list is decided on the basis of several criteria, such as the performance of applicants in the 12th class exam and the seat availability in a particular course. The merit is decided, and students who score above the cut-off of a course can seek admission in that course. The college may declare multiple cut-off lists based on the process of seat occupancy in an academic programme. Thus, some students who may not get admission in the first Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Arts, Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Science or Aryabhatta College cut-off list for Commerce may get admission in the second or third list.
