The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013 for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other esteemed B-Schools in the country will be conducted from October 16 to November 11.

For this year’s CAT, four new testing locations – Surat, Udaipur, Trivandrum and Vijayawada—will be added, bringing the total number of locations to 40, said Soumitra Roy, managing director, Prometric India, the testing agency, reports a leading daily.

Roy added that the announcement of the dates will provide greater flexibility and ease to candidates while scheduling their appointments.

Important dates for CAT 2013

• The CAT vouchers will be available from 29 July to 24 September 2013 at selected Axis Bank branches.
• The registration window will be open from 29 July to 26 September 2013.
• CAT entrance exam dates: October 16 - November 11, 2013

"CAT is one of most prestigious management entrance exams of the country for admissions into the Indian Institutes of Management as well as other top management institutes. Getting to know the dates well in advance of the registration and testing window will enable candidates to prepare better for a successful future," said Professor Rohit Kapoor, CAT 2013 convenor.

"As always, our focus remains on conducting the test in a fair and secure manner," he added.
