MBA aspirants worried about choosing between CAT 2020 and IIFT 2020 entrance exam can now breathe a sigh of relief. Yes, the issue of CAT and IIFT exam date clash has been resolved. Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has post-pone the IIFT MBA (IB) entrance exam 2020 date to December 3 from November 26, 2020. Along with it, the deadline for IIFT registration has also been extended till September 15, 2020.

As the famous saying goes ‘‘All’s well that ends well’’, the dilemma of thousands of candidates who were willing to take up both these exams has come to an end. Candidates can now appear for CAT 2020 as well as IIFT 2020 exam.

Both, IIFT entrance test and CAT being prominent exams for the candidates aspiring to pursue MBA, it was important for the respective exam conducting authorities to look into the date clash issue and resolve the same at the earliest. Yesterday, IIFT came forward and announced on its official website that they are resolving the matter and soon will come out with a solution.

And almost within 24 hours, the IIFT official website is flashing the much awaited solution. The Institute has revised the IIFT exam dates to resolve the CAT 2020 and IIFT MBA (IB) exam date clash issue.

Revised IIFT Important Dates 2020

The table below provides the revised IIFT 2020 entrance exam dates. The applicants will now have more days to register for the exam and also to prepare for the same.

The entrance exam of IIFT MBA (IB) is usually conducted on a Sunday in the month of November only. The table below lists the IIFT entrance exam date trends of past 5 years for reference purpose. However, this year the Institute will be breaking the norm by conducting the exam in December.

Who is eligible for IIFT Entrance Exam 2020?

• Both, Indian and Foreign candidates can apply for MBA (IB) admission to IIFT. Foreign Nationals, NRIs and Children of NRIs will also be selected on the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score.
• As per the IIFT eligibility criteria 2020, the candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks can apply for IIFT entrance test.
• A student still in his/her final year of graduation is also eligible to apply.

Around 360 seats will be filled at IIFT Delhi and Kolkata campus based on IIFT 2020 exam score. Also, the Institute will soon start functioning at its third campus at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

IIFT registrations 2020 have already started from July 25, 2020. Interested candidates must fill the application form before the last date in order to sit for the exam this year. On the other hand, date of CAT 2020 exam has remained unchanged. IIM Lucknow will be conducting the CAT exam on November 26, 2020 in two sessions, forenoon and afternoon. The CAT 2020 registration process will begin from August 9, 2020. The application form will be available only in online mode on CAT 2020 official website.

Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, passed with 50% aggregate marks can appear for the exam. Applicants can fill the online CAT application form 2020 till September 20, 2020. This year, the CAT application fee has again increased for all categories of candidates. Details of registration fee amount and its payment modes have been provided in the table below.
