The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, will hold the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) / Pre-Dental Test (AIPDT) on 4th May, 2014.

The exam will be conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses across the country for the academic session 2014-15.

Decision of holding the examination would be subject to the Supreme Court’s final verdict.

The All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) / Pre-Dental Test (AIPDT) will be conducted for 15% of all Medical seats in Government Medical and Dental colleges across India except Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

These states will conduct their own examinations.

As far as the pattern of examination is concerned, the entrance test will consist of one paper with 180 objective type questions. There will be 45 questions from each subject (Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology).

The syllabus for the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) / Pre-Dental Test (AIPDT) is the same as notified by MCI (Medical Council of India).
