The University of Delhi has announced its second cut-off list for admission to the various undergraduate courses for the academic session 2013-14.

As per the second list, there has not been any significant drop in the cut-off percentages for admission to popular courses in Delhi University.

B.Tech has turned out to be a popular course among students. Out of the 21 colleges offering B.Tech in Computer Science, 11 are closed for admission in the General Category.

However, Ram Lal Anand College showed a 5 per cent drop in its cut off for the B.Tech course after shocking everyone by putting its ceiling at 100% in the first list for the programme for non-science background students.

Although there has not been any significant drop in the cut offs, admissions remain open for most of the popular courses which is likely to bring some relief to students looking forward to get admission in DU's top colleges.

The cut-off for the much sought after commerce course came down by 0.25% at Hindu College. For the same programme, Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College showed a drop of 1%.

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) had its first cut-off at 97.5 for Economics course, but the bar has dropped only by 0.25% points in the second list.

Hindu College did not show much difference in its percentage for Commerce, Economics and English. Admissions for Political Science, History and Hindi were closed at the college.

With the BA programme no longer being available, popularity of Political Science and History courses seems to have risen.

Among the colleges that have closed their admissions for Political Science are LSR, Gargi, Kamala Nehru, Kirori Mal and IP College.

Admissions basis Delhi University’s second cut-off list will start today and continue till July 3, 2013.
