The DU admission criteria for M.A. 2020 is pretty similar to the other courses offered by the Delhi University. Since the deemed university offers various M.A. subjects, the eligibility criteria for enrolment into each of them varies. However, the basic eligibility criteria to get into M.A. courses are to clear an entrance exam and interview/group discussion rounds conducted by the University.

DU admission criteria for M.A. 2020 are based on an entrance exam. The test will be conducted in the latter half of June 2020 in Delhi, Bengaluru, Jammu, Kolkata, Nagpur and Varanasi. The dates of examination have been finalised, and they will be conducted from 19th June – 23rd June 2020.

Admission criteria for M.A. courses 2020

In general, the DU admission criteria for M.A. 2020 is to have a bachelor’s degree (in any stream) from a recognised university. Also, there is no age limit specified by the Delhi University to get enrolled for an M.A. course.

Students who are already pursuing related undergraduate courses from the Delhi University can compete for the 50% seats that will be filled directly based on the merit list.

Other 50% seats will be open to students who have passed their undergraduate course from other universities around the country. Candidates will be granted admission based on their performance in the entrance exam followed by group discussion and interview round.

DU admission criteria for M.A. 2020 has is that candidates appearing for entrance examination must have minimum 45 percent pass marks in bachelor’s course. The minimum pass percentage goes up to 60 percent (based on the course pursued).

For former Delhi University students competing in the merit list based category, the minimum percentage of marks required is 50-60% (depending on their bachelor’s degree course).

The DU admission criteria for M.A. 2020, however, varies slightly for each course, so take a look at the detailed conditions required to enrol into some of the main DU Master in Arts courses.
