DU Admission Criteria for M.Com 2020 is to be followed strictly by all students seeking admission in the Master of Commerce courses in Delhi University. M.Com is offered by various colleges under the University of Delhi and the admission is done through a common entrance test conducted by the University. Application forms for admission will be available from May 31, 2020.

The Department of Commerce and Business Studies offers two-year full-time M.Com courses for aspiring candidates. The admission of the candidates will be done on the basis of set eligibility criteria and performance in the entrance test. The M.Com course at the University of Delhi is designed to serve academic needs and prepare students for research and teaching in business studies.

DU Admission Criteria for M.Com 2020:

Mode I - Candidates seeking admission under direct admission category are required to fulfil the following eligibility:

  • This admission procedure is based on the merit. Separate merit lists will be prepared for the general as well as reserved categories of the students.
  • For direct admission, a candidate should have passed B.Com (Hons)/BA (Hons) in Economics/B.Com (Pass)/B.Com (Degree)/B.B.S./B.B.A. /B.I.F.A. /B.B.E. from the Delhi University or any other University or Institute equivalent thereto.

Note: The final merit list for admission under different categories will be determined by normalising the marks of eligible ‘Pass course’ candidates by deducting 5 percent of their marks to make the merit list on the basis of combined merit with ‘Hons students.’

Mode II: The candidates selected on the basis of a common entrance test conducted by the University are also required to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria.

Documents needed to fulfil DU Admission Criteria for M.Com 2020:

The following documents are required to meet the DU Admission Criteria for M.Com.

  • An attested copy of the certificate showing the marks obtained at the last University examination.
  • In the case of students coming from another University, migration certificate from that University. (at the time of admission only)
  • An attested copy of the character certificate from the Principal of the college last attended.
  • An attested copy of the matriculation or other certificate evidencing the date of birth.
  • Three copies of a recent passport-size photograph, duly attested.
  • An attested copy of the category certificate.

Important:

  • Copies of certificates submitted along with the application will not be returned.
  • Combining any other course of the University with the M.Com course is not permitted.
