Eligibility criteria to appear for EAMCET 2013:

Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of India (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card holders.

Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Education Institution (regulation of admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
Eligibility criteria to appear for Engineering, Bio-Tech, B Tech (Diary Technology), B Tech (Agriculture Engineering) and for 50% seats in B Pharmacy, B Tech (Food Science and Technology)/ B Sc (Commercial Agriculture and Business Management (CA & BM) courses for EAMCET 2013:

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Mathematics, Physics along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled during 2000-2002 and subsequent batches or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, provided that candidates who have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional along with the bridge course examination in Mathematics conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh shall also be eligible for the Bio-Technology course.

Candidate should obtain at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together at 10+2.

In the case of Engineering and Pharmacy courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit to apply.

In the case of B Tech (Diary Technology), B Tech (Agriculture Engineering), B Tech (FST) and B Sc (CA and BM), candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates as on 31st December of the year of admission.
Eligibility criteria for B Sc (Ag)/B Sc (Hort)/BV Sc & AH/BF Sc and for remaining 50% seats in B Tech (FST)/B Sc (CA & BM) courses:
Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or any examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh with any two/three of the subjects indicated against each course noted below:

Eligibility criteria for MBBS/BDS courses for EAMCET 2013:

Candidates should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Backward classes, the marks obtained shall be a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology.

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
Eligibility criteria for BAMS/BHMS/BNYS courses for EAMCET 2013:

A candidate should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology as optional which shall include a practical test in each subject.

A candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for admission to BAMS/BHMS.

For admission to BNYS course, a candidate should not have completed 22 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission. For SC/ST candidates the maximum age limit shall be extended by 3 years.
Eligibility criteria for B Pharmacy Course:

A candidate should have passed or appeared for the final year of the Intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology optional, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognised by the university as equivalent thereto.

A candidate should obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.

A candidate should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admissions or such other date as may be notified by the CET committee. There is no upper age limit.
Eligibility criteria for Pharm-D course (50% seats for MPC and 50% seats for BI PC candidate):

A candidate should have passed or appeared for the final year of intermediate examination (10+2 pattern) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology optional conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognised by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto or should have passed or appeared at the final year of the diploma examination in Pharmacy course conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training.

Criteria for ranking in EAMCET 2013:
The candidates who have secured qualifying marks in EAMCET and candidates belonging to SC/ST category, for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% weigtage to the marks secured in EAMCET and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry of the qualifying examination.
Criteria for admission through EAMCET 2013:

As per GO Ms No 181 dated 21st May 2008 of Health Medical and Family Welfare (E1) Department for admission into MBBS/BDS courses on the basis of competitive entrance examination, a candidate for admission to those courses must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together both at qualifying and EAMCET examination. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC must have obtained not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together both at qualifying and EAMCET examination.

As per the Gazette of India: Extraordinary under Part-III Rule No 7(2) for admission into BV Sc and AH courses on the basis of competitive entrance examination, a candidate under General category for admission to this course must have obtained 50% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST or other special category of student as specified by the government from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that prescribed for general category.

As per GO Ms No 74 & 75 dated 28th July 2011, the candidate shall fulfill eligibility criteria for admission into Engineering, Pharmacy and Pharma-D courses.

However, in all the cases, candidate shall fulfill the eligibility criteria as laid down in the relevant GOs/Amendments/notifications to be issued at the time of admissions.
