Exam Alert for RTET 2011

RTET is organized by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSC) Ajmer. The Chairman of RBSC, Mr. Subhash Garg said that this was the first time the RTET is being conducted in Rajasthan. The RBSC was established on 4th Dec, 1957 in Jaipur and was later moved to Ajmer in 1961.

The TET Syllabus is available in the Notification for TET exam published by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). All questions in the TET Exam 2011 will be multiple choice questions, each carrying 1 mark. There will be no negative marking.

Format:

There are two papers in TET 2011. Candidates aspiring to become a teacher for classes 1 - 5 will need to appear for Paper I. Candidates aspiring to become a teacher between classes 6 - 8 will need to appear for Paper II. Candidates can appear for both the papers also.

Both Paper I and Paper II will have 150 multiple choice questions each and the time period for each exam is 1.5 hours. The minimum marks required to pass the exam is 60%, following which; the successful candidates will be awarded with a certificate.

Eligibility:

  • A person who has acquired the academic and professional qualifications specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
  • A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August, 2010.
  • The eligibility condition for appearing in TET may be relaxed in respect of a 3 State/UT which has been granted relaxation under sub-section (2) of section 23 of the RTE Act. The relaxation will be specified in the Notification issued by the Central Government under that sub-section.

Cost of Forms:

Level I for 400/- & Both Level for 600/- Challan on ICICI Bank of Rajasthan.

Last Date for Submission of Forms: 21st April 2011(has been closed)

Exam Date: 22nd May, 2011

Exam Center:

The Exam will be conducted in different cities of Rajasthan.
