The SBI PO (State Bank Of India, Probationary Officer) Exam 2014 would be tentatively conducted in the month of June 2014. The call letters are already available on the website for downloading. The selection procedure for the recruitment consists of two phases. Phase 1 consists of written examination and Phase 2 consists of Group discussion and an interview.
The written examination in phase 1 has the following structure. It consists of an objective test of 200 marks and a descriptive test of 50 marks.
The objective test would be conducted online has four sections of 50 marks each with a total duration of 2 hours. Descriptive test will be followed immediately after the objective test. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test on paper/Pen mode. The sections of the objective test are as follows:
1. Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.).
2. Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers.
3. Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation.
4. Test of Reasoning (High Level).
Candidates securing passing marks, decided by the bank, have to appear for the descriptive test. The descriptive test consists of 50 marks with one-hour duration. It is a test of English language consisting of comprehension, short précis, letter writing and essay.
The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
In the Phase 2, candidates appear for a group discussion and an interview. After this phase, a merit list is prepared. For more information, log on to https://www.sbi.co.in
