GATE Syllabus for Mechanical Engineering- IIT Guwahati has issued syllabus of Mechanical engineering paper on its official website. Candidates must be aware of all the important topics and sub-topics mentioned in this post to prepare well for the examination. No preparation strategy will work without the GATE Syllabus 2020. There will be three sections in the GATE 2020 Mechanical paper that are Engineering Mathematics, General Aptitude and Mechanical Engineering. Here we have mentioned all the sections of GATE Syllabus 2020 for Mechanical Engineering for the reference. Candidates can also check the important books required to prepare the relevant topic.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam is conducted every year by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISC) for students seeking admission in Engineering PG programmes at GATE accepting colleges across the country.
GATE Part I Paper Pattern
There will be 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions will be carting 15 marks are in General Aptitude (GA). Questions in GA will be based in A) Verbal Ability and B) Numerical Ability.
GATE Part II Paper Pattern
Mechanical Engineering specific paper of Part II is formed from following topics-
Engineering Mathematics
Applied Mechanics and Design
Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences
Materials, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering
