Probably the very last edition of AIEEE (All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Exam) will take place this year with the offline AIEEE scheduled for 29th April 2012 & the online AIEEE 2012 schedule for the window period of 7th-26th May 2012.
IIT-JEE and AIEEE , the two engineering entrance exams to get admission into India’s top engineering colleges including the IITs and NITs— are going to be replaced by a brand new test to be called as ISEET - Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test starting 2013.
With just a couple of days left for the offline AIEEE 2012, here are some last-minute preparation tips that will help you sail through:

AIEEE is relatively easier than IIT JEE. If you had studied well for your CBSE examinations & IIT-JEE 2012, more than half the work is done. It has generally been observed that students who do reasonably well in their school will also tend to do well in their All India Engineering Entrance Examinations. It is advisable that in case you are not ready to take the burden of entrance preparations, then just doing well in your CBSE boards can help you score a lot in AIEEE. If you are aiming for a good rank in the AIEEE, then make sure to first cover your basics from the NCERT textbooks. The AIEEE will test you from the CBSE syllabus of XI and XII. Therefore all you need to do is to start your preparation right from class XI. Two years of planned and organised studies will help you sail through the AIEEE 2012.

Speed and accuracy should go hand in hand while taking this exam. Work hard towards building these two important skills. Only regular practice and solving as many problems as possible will help you in this regard. Practice free AIEEE sample tests here. Never use the calculator while studying for the exam. Increase your adeptness in mental calculations. It will stand you in good stead while attempting the paper for real.

Choose the questions to attempt smartly. Usually the paper would consist of 25% easy questions, 50% average and 25% difficult questions. All you need to do is to identify and attempt the easy and then the average ones. Only regular practice would help you with the identification of the right questions.
