The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees in various public sector banks and other participating organisations.
The registration process for IBPS PO 2020 has already started and the last date for IBPS PO registration is Septemeber 05. Candidates interested in these posts need to go through a selection process that involves preliminary and main examination followed by an interview.

Both the IBPS Exams: preliminary and main will be conducted in the online mode only and will contain objective type questions. However, IBPS has changed the main examination pattern from this year. Following the banking main exam pattern of SBI, IBPS PO 2020 Main Exam will also have a descriptive paper.

Admit cards for IBPS PO Preliminary Exam have been released. Candidates who applied for IBPS 2020 can visit the official website and can download their admit card. Make sure you take a printout of the admit card and get a photocopy of the same. How to download IBPS PO Prelim Admit Card?
The banking sector in India has become one of the hottest destinations for employment. A lot of aspirants these days are taking the Bank PO exam to enter the management cadre of the banking industry.
Now that IBPS has issued a notification for recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees, it is important for the students to know some of the tips and tricks for IBPS PO preparation.

Reasoning:
This section carries highest marks and you can score very well if your practice it thoroughly. Reasoning section tests the candidates’ mental ability and the power of observation. During your preparation, you can focus on problems like mirror images and problems where figures are involved.
Quantitative Aptitude:
Meant to test the candidates’ mathematical ability, Quantitative Aptitude section will have questions on profit and loss, probability, time and distance, number system, fractions, mensuration, etc. You can prepare for this section by solving as many as sums as possible. Practice is the key to score well in this section and you may learn some mental tricks in the course of your preparation to handle tricky questions. Learning multiplication tables by heart will also boost your confidence and save time when you sit down to appear for the exam.
General Awareness:
While this section focuses mainly on the banking and finance section, it does have some questions on current affairs. You can easily score well in this section if you keep yourself updated with the latest news on banking policies that may or may not have an impact on the economy of the country. Watching news on TV or reading newspapers on a regular basis can prepare you well for this section.
English Language:
Candidates tend to make this mistake of not taking this section too seriously and end up spending less time on preparing for it. This section is meant to check your command over English language. You must read English newspapers regularly and watch English news channels to improve your vocabulary. Learning some new words, making note of the antonyms and synonyms, practicing comprehension and grammar can help you score well in this section.
Computer Knowledge:
You can score well in this section if you some basic knowledge of computer applications. If you some knowledge of how MS Windows and MS Office work, you will be able to perform decently well in this section. You may go through some NCERT Computer books to prepare well for this section.
Practice Mock Tests:
The key to success in this exam is to take as many mock tests as possible. It will not only help you become familiar with the exam pattern but will also help you identify your strong and weak areas. Solving last year’s question papers will also give you an idea of what all you must cover in your syllabus. As the pattern for IBPS Main exam for PO has changed this year, to prepare for that section you can take mock tests of other banking exams like SBI.
Time Management:
Apart from preparing for separate sections thoroughly, candidates must know how much time they should devote to each section, which is possible only when you thoroughly check IBPS PO 2020 exam pattern and syllabus. You must divide your exam time in a manner so that you attempt all the questions from different sections. Answering 200 questions in 120 minutes may seem like a lot but if you work on your speed and plan well before entering the exam hall, you can score very well even in that limited time.
