IBPS SO 2020 Eligibility Criteria – IBPS SO 2020 is an online entrance examination conducted on a national level in order to recruit candidates for the post of Specialist Officer (SO) available in various public sector banks of India. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection or IBPS is the apex organisation that conducts SO examination every year.
In 2020, the IBPS SO examination will be held across the country on January 28 and January 29, 2020. The registration process is now closed and the IBPS SO 2020 Admit Card is now available on the official website.
IBPS SO examination is conducted every year to recruit candidates for the post of Law Officer Scale I, Marketing Officer Scale I, Rajbhasha Adhikari Scale I, Agricultural Field Officer Scale I, IT Officer Scale I and HR & Personnel Officer Scale I.
All candidates must be an Indian citizen. Candidates who are citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee and Indian migrants from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Companies are also eligible but should possess a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Govt. of India.
All candidates should not be less than 20 years and should not be more than 30 years (both ages are inclusive). However, there will be a relaxation of 5 years for students applying through SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen/Commissioned Officers, students affected by 1984 riots, students ordinarily domiciled in J&K between 1-1-80 and 31-12-89.
Students applying through OBC category will have 3 years relaxation while students with a disability will have 10 years relaxation.

Graduates with full-time Post-Graduate degree or Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource/ Personnel Management/ Human Resource Development/ Industrial Relations/ Labour Law/ Social Work. |

Graduates with a full-time MBA (Marketing)/ MMS (Marketing)/ PGDBM/ PGDBA with Marketing as specialisation. |
Candidates applying for HR Officer/ Marketing Officer should note that in the case of dual specialisations, one of them or the major specialisation should be mentioned in the field prescribed. Moreover, candidates who have a Post Graduate degree/ diploma with more than two specialisations cannot apply.
