There is a good news for students seeking DU admission in BA and B.Com courses this year. The Delhi University now allows students to add a vocational subject and will face no disadvantage. Earlier, untill last year, students including vocational subjects in these two courses used to face 2.5% deduction for each subject while calculating best of four marks.
The new regulation will mean that students who have scored well in physical education, sculpture, painting, web-designing or any other vocation subjects can include marks of the subject while calculating the best of four subjects along with one language and two other subjects for DU Admission. However, if students want to change the stream like Science students enrolling in BA course, the deduction in marks will not be more than 5 percent in any case. The college decides this percentage.
Until last year, students seeking DU admission in BA and B.Com courses were not allowed to add a vocational subject in the calculation of the best of four marks. The rule has been changed from this year onward providing students that much needed sigh of relief.
