India’s First Ever All Women’s Technical University - Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University (IGDTU)

Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTU) formerly Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is the first engineering college for women in Delhi, India. Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), now IGDTU, was established in 1998 by Directorate of Training and Technical Education, Govt. of N.C.T of Delhi as the first engineering college for women. Being a prestigious college of north India, IGIT (now IGDTU) has always attracted the best talents from across the country.

 
Programs offered:
B.Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering)
B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
B.Tech. (Mechanical & Automation Engineering)
B.Tech. (Information Technology)
M.C.A.
M.Tech. (Mobile & Pervasive Computing)
M.Tech. (VLSI Design)
M.Tech. (Robotics & Automation)
M.Tech. (Information Security Management)
M.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering)
(Weekend course)


All above programmes are regular in which classes shall be held on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. For the last programme which is Weekend, classes shall be held on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.


The admission to B.Tech., M.C.A. and M.Tech. Weekend programmes (from 1 to 5 and 10) for the Academic Year 2013-14 will be carried out by GGSIP University. The Seats for these programmes will be filled up through CET 2013 conducted by GGSIP University. Details are given at www.ggsipu.ac.in. However, the degree to the students admitted in 2013-14 shall be awarded by IGDTU for Women.


Eligibility Criteria:


Only women are eligible to apply.


For M.Tech. (Mobile & Pervasive Computing) eligibility is as follows:


Minimum 60% or equivalent in the qualifying exam as under -

  • B.Tech. / B.E. degree in Computer Science / Computer Science) Engineering / IT / Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electronics & Communication / Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University. 
  • AMIE/ AMIETE in relevant discipline. 
  • MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / IT) or M.Sc. (Math / Statistics) with Computer / IT as a major subject.

M.Tech. (VLSI Design):

Minimum 60% or equivalent in the qualifying exam as under:

  • B.Tech./ B.E. Degree in Electronics & Communication/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • AMIE/ AMIETE in relevant discipline.
  • M.Sc. (Electronics/ Physics with Electronics/ Informatics/ Computer Science)


M.Tech. (Information Security Management)


Minimum 60% or equivalent in the qualifying exam as under:

  • B.Tech./ B.E. Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Security Engineering/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Software Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • AMIE/ AMIETE in relevant discipline.
  • MCA/ M Sc. (Computer Science & Engineering / IT) or M.Sc. (Math / Statistics) with Computer / IT as a major subject


M.Tech. (Robotics & Automation)


Minimum 60% or equivalent in the qualifying exam as under:

  • B.Tech. / B.E. Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Mechanical & Automation / Industrial / Automobile or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • AMIE/ AMIETE in relevant discipline.


Admission Procedure:

  • Following procedure for admission to Regular M.Tech. programmes shall be followed.
  • All candidates should satisfy the minimum eligibility conditions as laid down for qualification.
  • Candidates with valid GATE score shall be given preference.
  • The candidates shall have to produce the required documents for verification. If a candidate fails to report for admission on the scheduled date, she shall forfeit her claim for admission and the seat shall be offered to the next eligible candidate in the order of merit.
