National Seminar on Electoral Reforms by Lucknow University, April 2012

Electoral Reforms in India in Contemporary Constitutional Perspective national seminar organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow invites law students, lawyers, academicians and other stakeholders to contribute their articles/ research papers on the main theme of the seminar or in any of the following topics:

  • Right to Reject (how to ensure that only good people are fielded by political parties?)
  • Right to Recall (how to ensure accountability to voters?)
  • Compulsory Voting (how to increase the voter turnout?)
  • How to ensure inner party democracy in various political parties?
  • How to strengthen Election Commission so that Parliament is tempted to overpower it?

Call for papers for Participation in National Seminar on Electoral Reforms by Lucknow University, April 2012

Papers are invited on any of the main theme/ sub-theme or which is related with the concept of electoral reform as enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The paper should be submitted in both hard & soft copies. The soft copies should be MS Word format (English: Times New Roam Format, font size 12 and Hindi: Kruti Dev:10; font size 14) and should be sent to Dr. Rakesh Kr. Singh (Organising Secretary) at dr.rksingh2007@gmail.com or through Registered Post at Law Faculty, Lucknow University, 2nd Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow – 226021 latest by April 5, 2012. Selected papers will be published in a book form.

Registration fee for Participation in National Seminar on Electoral Reforms by Lucknow University, April 2012

Participants are required to pay a nominal registration fee of Rs. 500 (for students Rs. 300)in cash, which will be deposited at the venue of the seminar.

Note: No TA & DA will be provided to the participants.
