Atul Chouhan is the new photography secy of NIT Silchar. A guy seen with camera most of the times, this doesn't come as a surprise for us all. He has covered events, clicked hundreds of faces and now says he wants to choose photography as his profession. Read on to know more.
Atul congratulations on becoming the Photography secy of NIT Silchar for the coming year. So what developments we can expect in the next year?
First of all I want to thank you. I am really happy about the fact that the whole NIT student fraternity decided to support me and help me become the Photography Secy for this year. I'll, of course try to give my best. There are lot of good plans in mind and I'm really thankful to Dhruv bhaiya (Dhruv Saxena, Previous year's Photography Secy) Over this past one year I've learned and experienced so many things in this field so this year we will do my best to give a unique glow and glamour to Photography Club, NIT Silchar.
Here are a few things I plan to do in my one year stint.
This year I will try to buy few more cameras and equipments for club because a lot of guys come and expressed their passion towards photography and we have to accommodate all of them. They're interested to learn about photography and we have to utilize their potential for great uses. There will be workshops to teach them and on holidays, we'll go for photowalks.
How far do you think the photography club can contribute in taking the institution forward by creatively online marketing about it?
Nowadays, most of us are hooked to social media and it serves as the best platform to share our work and spread the word about events, new development and market about our college. If we don't use the power of social media then also we would get media coverage of local channels but with that our range becomes limited. But if we approach it from the other point of view then our student population of 2500 has a potential of around 75000 people connections and more than 20k pages! So the potential is huge, we need great work to exploit it.
