CEED 2020 information brochure has been released on IIT Bombay's official website. The information brochure of Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design or CEED 2020 consists all the exam details along with all the important dates.
According to a notification released by Industrial Design Centre (IDC) of IIT Bombay, an updated website for CEED 2020 and the online application process for the exam will commence from October 9, 2020. Aspiring students can check all the details regarding CEED exam on the official web portal and continue with the registration process once the link is activated on the site.
CEED 2020 will be conducted at 20 examination centres in different cities across India. Candidates need to make a choice of three cities while filling the application form the get an examination centre of their choice.
CEED is a computer-based entrance examination conducted to screen undergraduate students for admission to the course of Master of Design (M.Des) in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. The Industrial Design Centre of IIT Bombay conducts the exam under the guidelines provided by CEED Admissions Committee. On successfully clearing the exam, candidates can score a seat in some of the best IITs and IISc institutions in India. CEED 2020 will be conducted on January 20, 2020 at various examination centres across India. Colleges in which candidates will be able to get admission after qualifying in the exam include IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IISc Bangalore and IIT Guwahati. Apart from M.Des. programmes, CEED 2020 will also help candidates in getting admission to Ph.D. programmes in IIT Hyderabad, IISc Bagalore, and IIT Kanpur.
The exam paper will consist of different questions to check candidates' drawing, thinking, general awareness, visual and other skills. The paper will be divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A will further be divided into three sections namely, Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Multiple Select Questions (MSQ). Negative marking will be done for every wrong answer given. As per CEED exam patter 2020, Part B will have subjective questions of 100 marks.
