UPSC SCRA 2020 Syllabus – The UPSC SCRA exam is conducted across the breadth of India to appoint Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) under the Indian Railways. The examination enables candidates to eventually become a Class I Officer under the Indian Railway Services of Mechanical Engineering. UPSC or Union Public Service Commission is the apex body that conducts UPSC SCRA every year.

The upcoming UPSC SCRA 2020 examination is scheduled to be conducted in the month of July 2020. The exam registration is likely to begin in the month of February 2020 while the official notification is expected to be issued around the same time. The registrations will be done online on the official web portal of UPSC.

UPSC SCRA 2020 Syllabus:

The UPSC SCRA examination will consist of 600 multiple choice questions on three papers namely, General Ability Test, Mathematics and Physical Sciences. Each paper will consist of 200 questions which candidates need to answer within 2 hours.

1. General Ability Test paper will contain questions that will test the candidate’s general awareness on various topics, knowledge of current affairs, questions on general history, etc. It will also consist of questions that will test the psychological ability and English language skills of the candidate.
2. Physical Sciences paper will consists of questions on Physics and Chemistry. Questions on Electromagnetic Induction, Laws of Motion, Current Electricity, etc will be asked from Physics subject and questions on Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Polymers, etc may be asked from Chemistry subject.
3. Mathematics paper will consist of questions on Matrices & Determinants, Algebra, Calculus, Probability, Vectors, etc.
