VITEEE 2020 counselling dates will be announced by the VIT University for those candidates who have cleared the entrance exam of VITEEE 2020 which is likely to be April 2020. The final dates declared by Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore (VIT Vellore) are mentioned below. The VITEEE 2020 Result will be declared in the last week of April 2020.  The counselling is expected to be conducted in two phases in order to allot the seats to all qualified students. Candidates appearing for VIT counselling will be required to register themselves online and submit their choice of the counselling centre at least two days prior to the commencement of the counselling procedure. The counselling will be based on merit or rank obtained by the candidate in VITEEE 2020.

VITEEE 2020 Counselling Dates

The following table shows the VITEEE counselling dates for phase-1. The counselling will be held at the respective VIT campuses in the month of MAY 2020. All candidates are advised to book their train/ flight tickets in advance to participate in the VITEEE counselling in either of the two campuses at Chennai or Vellore. VITEEE 2020 Counselling Procedure:

• Candidates who appeared for the VITEEE 2020 exam can attend the counselling only once.
• The allotment of seat, branch and college campus is on the basis of All India Rank secured by the candidate in VITEEE 2020.
• Once allotted, there will be no change of branch or campus allowed.
• The selection and admission procedure is same across all campuses of VIT University - Vellore/Chennai/Bhopal/Amaravati. Shortlisted candidates can attend the counselling in any of the four campuses.
• In order to participate in VITEEE 2020 counselling, the candidates have to register in any of the counselling venues and select any campus/branch as per the availability based on their VITEEE 2020 ranking.
• The candidates are required to carry a Demand Draft of INR 50,000 in favour of ‘VIT University’ to the counselling venue without which they will not be allowed to sit for the counselling. The DD should be submitted once the seat and branch allocation is done. The remaining fee must be paid on or before June 2020 (Via DD or Online).
• Candidates opting for hostels must carry another DD of INR 21,000.
• If a candidate is not able to attend the VITEEE counselling, his/her seat will be offered to the candidate next in the merit list.
• Under unavoidable circumstances, if a candidate cannot personally attend the counselling, then he/she can appear for the counselling on a subsequent date and time. For this, he/she has to inform the VITEEE 2020 office in this regard. Secondly, the candidate has to accept whichever branch is available at that time.
• The candidates need to bring the counselling e-admit card, a copy of the Aadhaar card along with other relevant documents (mentioned below) in order to attend the VITEEE 2020 counselling.
• After the counselling for a particular day is over, the number of seats (branch wise) still available for allotment on the next day of counselling will be published online.
• The date and time pertaining to VITEEE 2020 counselling can’t be changed under any circumstances.

VITEEE 2020 Counselling Documents Checklist:

The candidate must present the following documents in original along with one set of photocopies at the time of VITEEE counselling 2020.

• VITEEE 2020 Admit Card, counselling Admit Card & a copy of VITEEE scorecard.
• Class 10 Board certificate as  age proof
• Photocopy of Provisional admission letter
• 4 recent passport-size colour photographs
• Mark sheet of 10+2
• Community certificate (for SC/ST only)
• Affidavit by student and parent
• Student profile filled by the student
• Nativity certificate (For candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura)
• Transfer certificate/ Migration certificate/ School leaving certificate

Along with the documents mentioned above, the candidates must also submit the following documents at the time of admission:

The branches at VIT are divided into two groups - Group A and Group B.

Group A consists of Biotechnology, Biomedical, Computer Science and Engg (Spec. in Bioinformatics), Civil, Mechanical with specialization in Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
