About XAT:
XAT is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur to select the most appropriate students for its management courses. Every year a large number of management aspirants take the XAT to get admission in to XLRI or other good institutes where XAT scores are considered. It has become the most popular entrance exam for management aspirants after CAT and MAT. It however differs from other management entrance examinations as candidates are also expected to write an essay on a given topic besides the usual objective type questions. The essay is considered only for admission to XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Eligibility Criteria for XAT 2013:
One needs to have a bachelors degree under a 10+2+3 system from a recognized university or a deemed university in order to be eligible to take XAT. You are eligible to take XAT as well as admission to XLRI, if you complete your final year examination by June 10, 2013. Other XAT Members Institutes may have a different date regarding the completion of the final examination.

Institutes Accepting XAT 2013 score
For more than 60 years XLRI has been conducting XAT on all India level to select the most appropriate students for management education. There are 16 core member institutes and more than 85 associate institutes located in different parts of the country. The test would be co-ordinated by XLRI Jamshedpur. Online Mode:
Interested candidates can register for XAT through online payment using credit card/debit card for an amount of Rs 950 while SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs 650. A candidate then has to send the XAT confirmation page (that has to be downloaded after registering for XAT) to XAT office.
