The Xaviers Aptitude Test (XAT) was successfully conducted on Sunday (January 8, 2020) in 47 test centres across India and 2 international centres in Dubai and Kathmandu. Campuswalkin caught up with a few test takers right after the examination to get the real time XAT paper analysis 2020.
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is an all India level test that Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur conducts for admission to MBA programme. Apart from XLRI, XAT scores are accepted by various B-schools across India. XAT 2020 was conducted on January 8, 2020 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm in various centres.
The paper’s difficulty level turned out to be ‘easy’ as compared to that of last year. The changes in XAT 2020 paper have brought relaxation among candidates.
Campuswalkin received a mixed reaction from the XAT 2020 test takers. While some candidates found the paper easy, some found it to be moderate. According to Manan Mehra, "XAT 2020 paper was easier as compared to the last year. The questions were reduced to 72 this year giving us lots of time to think and perform better." On the other hand, Abhishek exclaimed, " the paper was easy; however, Decision Making and English section was a bit tough." Many candidates also told Campuswalkin that the paper was much easier as compared to last year and was not lengthy at all.
According to Meghana, Verbal and Logical Ability was a little lengthy as well as difficult, otherwise the paper was moderate. The topic in the essay section was generic.

The toughest section of all was the decision making ability section and easiest was General Knowledge.

For XAT 2020 Exam pattern and the changes made in 2020, click here!
XAT 2020 results are expected to be declared on January 31, 2020. Candidates will be able to check their results online and download the scorecards by logging into your respective accounts. Hard copy of the scorecard will be sent via post to the candidates. The result will furnish the sectional as well as total percentage/percentile of all the sections. However, the percentage of General Knowledge section will be calculated independently and will not be included in the calculation of total percentile. The highest scores in XAT 2020 were 51.75.
XLRI will release the cutoffs in the last week of January 2020 for admission to various courses. Apart from XLRI, all XAT participating institutes will release the cutoff.
