XAT Selection Procedure 2020 – Selection process of XAT 2020 will depend on the overall performance of the candidate. Apart from XLRI, there is a large number of XAT participating colleges. Each of the institutes will have it’s own selection process. Therefore, the XAT 2020 selection procedure will vary from college to college. There will not be any common counseling round for all the institutes. Once the XAT 2020 result will be announced, all the colleges accepting XAT scores will announce their cutoff individually. Candidates who will clear the minimum XAT 2020 cutoff will be called for further XLRI selection process. Candidates appearing for XAT 2020 should be aware of the selection procedure of XAT 2020.

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted for the admission to various management programmes offered by XLRI and other participating institutes. XAT 2020 will be conducted on January 7. The result of XAT will release on January 31.

XAT Selection Procedure 2020

According to XLRI selection procedure 2020, all the participating colleges will shortlist the candidates on the basis of result for further admission procedure. The selection procedure of XAT 2020 will consist of three stages. The first round will include the registration. In the second round, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the result. And finally, they will be called for group discussion, personal interview and essay writing. At the end, final merit list will be prepared and seats will be offered to the candidates.

XAT Selection Procedure 2020- Stage 1

In the first stage of XLRI selection process, candidates need to complete the XAT registration procedure and appear for the exam. XAT 2020 application procedure has been started from August 16 and will be continued till November 30. Interested candidates must apply within the specified timeline. Till last year, XAT was an offline exam but this year it will be conducted in online mode. Duration of exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes. Both objective and subjective kind of questions will be asked in XAT 2020. More than 90,000 candidates are expected to appear for the exam.

Candidates appearing through GMAT score, they must have taken their GMAT between December 01, 2015 and December 20, 2020

XAT Selection Procedure 2020 – Stage 2

According to their performance in the XAT exam, candidates will be selected for the further admission procedure. After the announcement of the result, all the institutes will publish their cutoff scores. Candidates meeting the minimum cutoff criteria will be shortlisted to appear for pre-admission rounds. It will be comprised of Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and essay writing. XAT selection rounds may differ from college to college. Some of the institutes may conduct group activity or case discussion. The names of the XAT and GMAT candidates will be shortlisted by January 31, 2020.

XAT is one of the highly competitive exams as a large number of candidates appear for the exam. That is why very less number of candidates gets selected for the further admission rounds.

XAT Selection Procedure 2020 – Stage 3

In the third stage of XLRI selection procedure, candidate’s performance in the entire selection process (Stage 1 & 2) will be evaluated. Along with the written exam and GD/PI & WAT rounds, candidate’s academic profile and work experience will also be considered. The final list of selected candidates will be published and shortlisted candidates will be offered the seats by theses participating institutes.

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria of XAT 2020. As per it’s eligibility norms, applicants must have done graduation of minimum three years from any recognized university or institute in any disciple. There is no minimum percentage in graduation required for the admission. Final year students of bachelor’s degree can also apply for the XAT 2020. They must complete their graduation by June 10, 2020
