The Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi recently released its Final Placement Report for the batch of 2014-16. It has recorded 100% placement this year with maximum recruitments in Operations, Consulting, IT and Analytics. The recruitments also took place in the field of Sales & Marketing and Finance & Finance & General Management.

The profiles offered to the candidates include IT Leadership Program, Management Consulting, Business Consulting, Senior Business Analyst and ERP Advisory. These roles were offered by renowned firms like Google, Deloitte, Accenture Strategy, IBM, Wipro, Glenmark, Virtusa, Adobe and Dell. The highest salary offered this year is INR 21 Lakhs while the minimum package offered is of INR 8.11 Lakhs.

Here we give you a low down of the placements this year-

Out of these placements, 40% offers were made to the students belonging to IT, Consulting and Analytics, 26% were made to Sales & Marketing, 21% to Finance & General Management and 15% to Operations.

Here are the profiles recruited in different categories-

Consulting, IT & Analytics

Roles including IT Leadership Program, Management Consulting, Business Consulting, ERP Advisory and Senior Business Analyst were offered by companies like Google, Adobe, Accenture Strategy, Virtusa, KPMG, Deloitte Glenmark, IBM, Wipro and Dell.

Operations

Operations took over 26% of recruitments where P&G, Nestle, L&T, Amazon, Jindal Steel & Power, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Trident Group, Lava, Café Coffee Day and Hero were the companies who offered various roles including Product Supply, Project Management, Management Trainee, Service Delivery and Business Planning & Operations to the candidates.

Sales & Marketing

Companies like Idea, TATA Global Beverages, RetailOn, Wipro, Telenor, National Instruments, IBM and HP covered 21% of the recruitments this year offering roles including Strategic Marketing, Digital Marketing, Territory Sales Manager, Pre Sales Consultant, Sales Consultant and Sales Specialist.

Finance & General Management

This sector had the least percentage of roles offered from companies like NOMURA, Amazon, Synergy Consulting Inc, Bank of America, ANZ, Welspun and Axis Bank. The roles offered were Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Project Finance, Program Managers, Sales Consultant and Sales Specialist.
