Skill Development is an initiative of Government of India to empower the youth with appropriate skills to make them ready for industrial need. The 5-day training program consisted of a 3-day classroom session taken by the Faculty from NPTI--Ms. Vatsala Sharma and Mr. Mahender Singh at the MRIU campus. The session provided in-depth knowledge spanning almost all verticals of the Power sector including Generation, Transmission and Distribution. The students were also familiarized with the latest advancements in power generation technologies including Wind and Solar energy.
On the last 2 days, all students visited NPTI Faridabad where they were trained and given hands-on experience on 500 MW Thermal Power plant simulator and a 430 MW Combined Cycle gas Turbine Power system simulator. The course of the training so conducted was as per the needs of the Industry and requirement of the Institute/Organization.
Both classroom session and industrial visit were highly interactive providing a good exposure to the students on theoretical and practical concepts of Electrical Engineering.
