For last three years, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association’s Institute of Management organizes Annual Management Festival, “Aavega”. It allows the students to unleash their creativity and gives them lessons in management in practical ways. The festival is managed primarily by the students with guidance from Management & Faculty Members and helps them understand the nuances of four basic functions of Management: Planning, Organizing, Leading & Controlling in real life situations.

“Aavega 2K15 – Dance Fiesta” is going to be a fun-filled event that will be held on 13th February, 2015 at Keshavrao Ghaisas Auditorium of PTVA’s Institute of Management.

Director of the Institute, Dr. Harish Kumar Purohit shared his thoughts about this festival with us. According to him, this festival will give an opportunity to students to combine their creative talents with a focus on practical aspects of management like organizing and promoting the event at Inter-collegiate level, thus giving them better understanding of the logistics of such event. It will facilitate their overall development & prepare them to face the corporate reality. He also said that Dance as a form of art relies heavily on various management principles like co-ordination, time management and teamwork. So in a gist, this festival combines the expression of art with management principles for both, organizers and participants.

This is one of the first Management Institutes to arrange a Dance Event exclusively. The competition will be held in two categories: Solo & Group Dance. Organizers have announced attractive prizes for the Winners which include Rs. 12,500/- cash prize plus vouchers for Winners of Group Dance & Rs. 7,500/- cash prize plus vouchers for Winner of solo dance. First & Second Runners-up in both categories will also walk away with appealing prizes including cash & gift vouchers.

The event is sponsored by well known brands like LIC, INOX, 7 Sin Denims, Powerhouse Gym, NKGSB & Hallmark among others.
