Commemorating the landmark achievement in skill development by FDDI and Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida Campus’s convocation day, an event was organized which was graced by eminent personalities on December 17, 2014.
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Minister of State Commerce & Industry (I/C), Government of India consented to be the Chief Guest at the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida on the day. Other personalities in the guest list include:
- Mr. Amitabh Kant, IAS, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP)
- Mr. Atul Chaturvedi, IAS Joint Secretary, DIPP
- Mr. R. K. Jalan, Chairman, Council for Leather Exports (CLE)
- Mr. Mukhtarul Amin, Chairman, FDDI
On behalf of FDDI, Mr. Raajeev j Lakhara, Managing Director, FDDI by welcoming the Chief Guest and all delegates, started the event.
It is worth mentioning here that FDDI has made a landmark achievement in ‘Skill Development’ by training 2, 00, 503 unemployed youth and providing employment to 1,61,773 through its 55 OTC’s established across the country.
The 841 students of FDDI, Noida campus of all the batches from the year 2012 to 2014 received their UG and PG Diploma/Degrees during the historic ceremony.
The students from the pass out batches were from FDDI School of Footwear, Design & Production Management (FSFDPM), FDDI School of Retail Management (FSRM) and FDDI School of Leather Goods and Accessories Design (FSLGAD).
