Admission Alert – AILET 2011

The National Law University, India premiere Law University, invites application for B.A LLB (Hons); LLM and Ph. D programmes for the academic year 2011- 2012 commencing from August 2011. The interested candidates will have o sit through the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) to be eligible for the following programme.

Eligibility

Five year B.A LLB (Hons) Programme

  • Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or equivalent eamination with 50% marks. The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2011 can also apply.  
  • Below 21 years of age as on 1 July, 2011 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

Seats Available: 80 (70 seats on merit through AILET and 10 seats for foreign nationals on direct admission basis on merit with a minimum of 65% marks in the qualifying exam).
Reservation: 15% for SC/ ST and 3% for persons with disabilities.

LLM. Programme


  • LL.B. or an equivalent degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability).
  • The candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2011 can also apply.

Seats Available: 20 + 5 seats for foreign nationals. Foreign nationals are exempted from Entrance Test.
Reservation: 15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.

For Ph.D. Programme


  • LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates may apply along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only) for General Candidates, Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) in case of SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PD) drawn in favor of "REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI", payable at Delhi along with copies of requisite Caste/PD Certificate. Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST category are exempted from application fee.
Applications complete in all respects must be sent in person or by post, to the REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI, Sector - 14, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110078, on or before April 16, 2011. Applications received after the last date shall not be entertained. The University will not be responsible for any postal/courier delay.

AILET Exam: May 1, 2011
Timing: 3:00 am – 4:30 pm
Exam Centers: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna
