The oldest hospitality management institute of the country, Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Nutrition, Pusa, created history the previous year in December by hosting a 3-day Pan India fest of Hospitality Education-Amaranth 2014.
Amaranth-2014 was a lifestyle jamboree conducted in December 12-14, 2014 which marked participation of 25 IHM’s from across the country. The one-of-its kind was exclusive in the sense that in addition to competitions related to hospitality education, students had many other activities planned over the 3 days.
The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Minister of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, Mr. Jual Oram Ji, Hon’ble Secretary Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, Dr. Lalit K. Pawar, Hon’ble Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, government of India, Mr. Girish Shankar and Corporate Chef of ITC Hotels, Mr. M.S. Gill and many other who’s who of the Industry.
Girls from STOP, and NGO working against girl trafficking also performed during the event and Kathak Maestro, Padamshri Shri Shovana Narayan Ji also mesmerized the participating teams and the Pusaites with her unmatched performance.
Staying true to its name, the colours of Amaranth-2014 will continue to linger in the memories of all those who witnessed the extravaganza.
