The Annual Convocation-2015 of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) was held on Tuesday, January, 19, 2020 at 04.00 PM in the Sports Complex (Bhopal Ground) of the University.

Prof. Goverdhan Mehta, FNA, FRS, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad, former Director of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and presently National Research Professor and Lilly Jubilant Chair was the Chief Guest.

Shri N.N. Vohra, Hon’ble Governor of Jammu & Kashmir conferred Doctor of Letters (Honorius Causa).

On this occasion, Degrees/Diplomas were awarded to those candidates who have passed their examinations in the year 2014. Medals were also given to the toppers of the same year. Moreover, Ph.D. scholars whose results have been notified upto November 30, 2015 were also awarded the degrees.

Only those candidates who registered themselves by January 15, 2020 were permitted to attend the convocation.

Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMIU) is a public central university established by nationalist Muslim leaders. The university offers courses at under graduate, graduate and post graduate level. Jamia Millia Islamia has 9 faculties under which it offers academic and extension programmes. These include, Faculty of Laws, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Faculty of Humanities and Languages, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Dentistry.
