Apply now to AICS Training Centre (AICSTC), Vadodara by MSUB for UPSC training

The scheduled date for Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) Preliminary Services Exam 2015 is 23rd August, 2015. The last date for receipt of application is 19th June, 2015. Also known as the CSAT or Civil Services Aptitude Test, the Civil Service Prelims are carried out in two phases:

  • Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination
  • Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and post.

In this context, the All India & Central Services Training Centre by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Vadodara imparts orientation and training to the MSUB students and aspirants for preparation of Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC (IAS/IPS/IFS /Group - 1 & 2); and State Commissions (GPSC, etc.) in particular and other competitive examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

Eligibility Criteria to enroll for AICSTC Regular Course 2015 – 2020

  • Aspirants must be Indian citizens who have completed Bachelor’s Programme or are in the final year in any recognized university
  • Age: Between 20 to 21 Years minimum and 32 Years maximum

Intake capacity: 60. May increase to 75* (yet to be announced)

Syllabus, Entrance Examination Criteria and Schedule for Training at AICSTC

  • Same pattern as the Civil Services Prelims and Civil Service Mains
  • Written test will have 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 200 marks to be answered in two hours. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer
  • Syllabus to includes topics covered in both papers of General Studies I & II of Indian Civil Services Preliminary Examination as per 2015-16 UPSC announcements
  • 120 aspirants will be short listed for presentation and personal interview.
  • Aspirants have to prepare THREE topics from the list available on AICS Training Centre Notice-Board on 12th July, 2015 at 09:00 am and www.msubaroda.ac.in for presentation.
  • Aspirants will be asked for presentation by the interview panel. TIME LIMIT: 03-05 Minutes. Max. Marks: 50.
  • Oral presentation without any aid like PPTs/Slides is permissible. Reference cards usage is permissible. Reading not allowed
  • Personal Interview will follow the Presentation. Max. Marks: 50
  • Final Admission will be on Merit out of [200+ (50+50)] = 300
  • Admissions will be granted as per Reservation Policy
