Students aspiring to study Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) can now apply for the course at University of Delhi (DU) from May 21 to June 10.
BMS is a new four-year honours course introduced by DU by combining the popular BBS, BBE and BFIA courses.
These courses were offered under the three-year system and were among the most popular in the commerce stream with nearly 100% placement.
Admission in the new course will be through an entrance exam followed by an interview. The names of the colleges that will offer the course are, however, yet to be announced.
Eligibility criterion for general category students is a minimum of 60% in best of four subjects, including English. For students under OBC and SC/ST categories, it will be 54% and 50%, respectively.
The entrance exam will held be on June 26. Forms will be available on university’s website: www.du.ac.in.
The varsity, meanwhile, is starting another round of open days from Monday.
They will be held between 10 am and 1 pm.
“DU is set to introduce the four-year undergraduate programme from July. We are organising a new set of open days for aspiring students and their parents to provide details of admission process. It is going to be a opportunity for students to get first hand information about the admission process, colleges and courses under the new programme,” said JM Khurana, Dean, Students’ Welfare.
