Now that you have reached the final stage of your preparation just days before the examination, it’s time to turn your focus on something beyond preparation. Once you are done with the BITSAT syllabus and practice ‘n’ number of previous year BITSAT papers, it’s time to chalk out your final revision plan. In fact, your chances of scoring high increases depending on how you plan the last few days.
Here are some BITSAT last minute preparation tips to help you score well in the exam.
The three pillars that determine the success or failure of a student in the exam are Time, Speed, and Logic. Now that the BITSAT exam is around the corner, it is important to analyse yourself. Identify your strengths and weaknesses and implement the appropriate strategy to improve your chances of scoring higher marks. It is important to work on your weaknesses and try to further your strengths.
The final few days before the examination are extremely crucial. Your success, to a large extent, depends on your productivity in these days. Therefore, it is important to chalk out a plan keeping in mind all the factors.
Now that the entire syllabus is over, it is essential to revise the important topics. You should start with the key topics and later on cover the rest of the syllabus. Here we have segregated some of the main topics as per the sections to help you prepare well.
Mathematics –
Physics –
Chemistry –
Logical Reasoning –
English Proficiency –
Another important factor is revising your revision notes and flashcards that you might have prepared during your preparation for BITSAT. You should review the key notes and highlighted points that you might have jotted down. Since it’s the last few days before the examination, you cannot start revising from your textbooks.
Success has no shortcuts. Practice in the only way through. Practice as many topics as you can. More and more practice will make you more comfortable on the day of the exam. Try and time your practice sessions, work on your speed and look for logic rather than mugging up.
The closest way to improve your timing and speed is to practice previous year question papers. Previous year papers are like mirrors and can help you find your strengths and weaknesses. Practice as many previous year BITSAT papers as possible and improve on your weaker sections. There are also chances of questions being repeated, which can be an added advantage.
A major chunk of aspirants seeking the BITSAT exam try and focus more on the subject knowledge of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics but do not take into account the importance of problem-solving, logical reasoning and English proficiency. Do not commit the mistake of ignoring these sections as it can prove dangerous. In fact, these sections are relatively easier and high scoring.
To succeed in BITSAT, it is very important to have a grip over your calculations. Instead of going through the solution of a particular question, try and solve it yourself. This will help increase your speed and reduce calculation time.
During the preparation days, most students prefer to study till late hours of the night and sleep in the morning. While there is nothing wrong with this approach since everyone has their own way of preparation, following the same pattern in the last days can make you feel sleepy inside the examination hall. Therefore, it is important to set your clock in such a way that during the last days before the exam, you study in the morning hours and sleep on time at night.
While preparation is important, it is equally important to take frequent breaks to refresh your mind. You must take frequent breaks to relax your mind and rejuvenate. You can go outside and play a sport for an hour or so just to regain the lost energy. Practice some yoga or meditation as it infuses positive energy and improves concentration.
Staying positive and having an optimistic approach is the key to success. And your determination to succeed can help you get through. Keep up your spirits and you will come out with flying colours.
