CLAT 2020 has received more than 45,000 applications breaking all records of the past nine years. Law aspirants from across 20 cities have filled the CLAT 2020 application form. Last year, a total of 39,686 applications were received. However, this year, RGNUL has received around 45,040 applications, out which 39,468 candidates have registered for BA LLB (Hons) programme and 5, 572 have registered for LLM (PG) programme.
CLAT exam is slated to be held on May 8, 2020 at over 170 centres in the country. Since 2008, CLAT has been noticing a great surge in the number of aspirants who wish to take admission to any one of the 17 coveted National Law Universities across India. This year the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) will be convened by Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab.
As per the Vice Chancellor of RGNUL, Paramjit Jaswal, this year they have received the highest number of applications compared to last nine years.
The confirmed list of centres allocated will be declared in a day or two for the conduction of the online law exam. Further, he said, that they have nominated 170 centres for successful conduction of CLAT exam 2020, but there might be deductions in the number of centres if the number of candidates allotted to each of these centres is below 100.
CLAT 2020 admit card will made available for download from tomorrow ie 15th April 2020. CLAT result is expected on May 23, 2020.
