College of Engineering, Pune & KPIT to conduct KPIT Sparkle 2020

KPIT (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a global technology company specializing in product engineering and IT consulting, has announced the start of the second edition of KPIT Sparkle 2020, an annual national design and development innovation contest, in association with College of Engineering, Pune. With the aim of fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking, KPIT invites engineering and science students across Indian colleges to come up with groundbreaking solutions on the theme, ‘Smart Solutions for Energy and Transportation’ and win prizes worth INR 21.5 Lakhs.

Highlights of KPIT Sparkle 2020 

  • Second edition of the innovation contest encourages students to come up with ideas to resolve real world problems with technology
  • Winning teams to win cash prizes worth over Rs.20,00,000 and nationwide recognition
    • First Grand Team Prize:  10 Lakhs
    • Second Team Prize:  5 Lakhs
    • Prizes for up to five other Winning Teams:  1 Lakh
    • 3 Prizes for poster award:  (75K, 50K, 25K – one each

KPIT Sparkle 2020 does not give students a problem statement to solve, but allows them to choose the problem from within the scope of the theme and create their own solutions. The solutions should not only be innovative from a technology point of view but also be cleaner, safer, greener, and affordable for the end consumer. 

Commenting on the contest, Ravi Pandit, Co-founder, Chairman & Group CEO, KPIT said, “There is a huge opportunity for innovation as world seeks answers to achieve sustainability in the growing industrial and urbanized ecosystem. Through this competition, we aim to inspire bright young minds to recognize and solve critical problems in this area with impactful and commercially viable solutions in energy and transportation.”

This innovation competition will once again provide a platform to science and engineering students to perceive energy and transportation problems in a fresh light and come up with powerful solutions. We look forward to how the participants will apply their theoretical knowledge into practical working projects.”
