As decided in the Advisory Committee of COMEDK, the Entrance Test for Under Graduate courses in Medical, Dental and Engineering Degrees in respect of member institutions (i.e COMEDK UGET 2012) would be held on 6th May 2012.

About COMEDK

COMEDK stands for "Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” and was formed by the Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association and the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association in a bid to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admissions to the Member Institutions.

COMEDK is responsible for organising the COMEDK UGET 2012 (Under Graduate Entrance Test) for the academic year 2012-2013, for candidates aspiring to pursue under graduate courses in Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges in Karnataka in member institutions of the Consortium (Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges).

Exam Pattern of COMEDK UGET 2012

COMEDK UGET-2011 will have the following papers:

• Combined paper for Physics and Chemistry: Compulsory for all the candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET-2012
• Mathematics : Compulsory for engineering aspirants
• Biology : Compulsory for MBBS/BDS aspirants

The single test combining Physics and Chemistry subjects will have a total of 120 questions: 60 questions in Physics and 60 questions in Chemistry. The test duration for combined paper is 120 minutes, and is compulsory for all candidates seeking admissions to M.B.B.S., BDS and B.E courses.

The Mathematics and Biology tests will be held on the same day in the afternoon, though separately, with each subject having 60 questions with duration of 60 minutes. Candidates are free to choose any one or both the subjects. Mathematics Test will be conducted first followed by Biology test. Candidates are required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet (Optical Mark Reader). Every correct answer will earn 1 mark. Multiple marking on one answer will not receive any marks. There won’t be any negative marking.

Colleges Accepting COMEDK UGET 2012 Scores

Unaided, private Medical, Dental and Engineering colleges which are members of COMEDK, across the State of Karnataka, offer various courses in Medical, Dental or Engineering studies at Under-Graduate level. The courses offered at the Under-Graduate level include MBBS, BDS or B.E programs. Colleges have indicated their willingness to make admission to their Under Graduate courses based on merit in the Common Entrance Test organized by COMEDK (COMEDK UGET-2012).
