The Department of Civil Engineering, Graphic Era Hill University is organizing a Debate Competition with the Theme ‘Is Honesty Still the Best Policy’ on May 2, 2020.

 

The competition will be conducted at GEHU seminar hall. 10 students will be shortlisted on the basis of the likes on their comments on the Facebook Page of GEHU. There are also exciting prizes up for grabs.

‘Honesty is the best policy’ is a proverb of Benjamin Franklin which has been used since years. Honesty means being trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying. And it is really hard to answer the question is honesty still the best policy. Because being truthful isn’t always the best and it’s a saying that people pay lip service to but do not often practice.
