On April 27, 2015, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had put all the anticipation to an end by publishing the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2015 results on their official website. This year, a student from Pune named Sankalp Gaur topped the coveted entrance exam with an impressive score of 355/370.
Nearly 12.5 lakh students appeared for the national level engineering entrance examination, which was conducted in both offline and online mode on April 4 and April 10-11 respectively.
However, top 1, 50,000 candidates are going to be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2015 Exam, to secure admissions in the prestigious IITs and ISM Dhanbad. The 16 IITs have around 10000 undergraduate seats available for admissions this year.
As per CBSE, a candidate can appear for JEE Main up to a maximum of three times. So, aspirants who were not able to crack the exam in the first attempt can still appear for it next year.
