Goa!!! the moment you hear this word, the flashes that come to your mind are the beautiful beaches, romantic sunset with equally romantic couple, some beautiful ladies in shorts and lots of liquor.
But here, the 70 students of Dr. V N Bedekar Research Institute of Management (BRIM) had been to industrial visit to Goa. Sounds off beat, but it’s the fact. The industrial area of the Goa is ranked 4th in the country and it is the preferred destination for investors to invest.
The students of the BRIMS had an opportunity to visit two industries in Goa during their visit from March 23-26, 2015. One of them being Universal Telecom Pvt Ltd. It is an IT company providing telecom services in Goa in and around. They provide special service to Goa local government. They use fibre optic technique to provide the telecom services.
The second industry which students visited was UB (United Breweries) Group. A group of industries of Vijay Mallya, famously known for Kingfisher Beer. The students got an opportunity to see how the beer is made and then how it is bottled and dispatched.
For the students of the management institute it was very knowledgeable experience to visit the industries in Goa and being in Goa was in itself a fun filled experience. The Calangute beach, the cruz ride was the icing on the top.
