DU admission process for six new vocational courses at undergraduate level starts for this year. As the online admission process has commenced in the University of Delhi from June 1, 2020 onward, candidates interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Vocational Studies can apply for any of the six courses through the centralised registration form.
These courses will be on offer in three of the prestigious colleges under DU: Ramanujan, Kalindi College, Jesus and Mary College. The Kalindi College will offer Bachelor in Vocational studies courses in Printing Technology and Web Designing. In addition to this, Maharaja Agrasen College has also started an advanced diploma in TV Programme and News Production. The admission process for the 350 seats in BA in vocational Studies will start as soon as the colleges mentioned above declare the cut off list.
For admission in BA Vocational Studies, only the related subjects will be added in the best of four subjects and will be deemed equal to the academic subjects. Once the candidates complete one year of the course successfully, they will be granted with a diploma, whereas an advanced diploma will be awarded after the completion of two years .
To attain the bachelor’s degree in vocational studies from the university, students need to complete all six semesters. Candidates who enrol for bachelor’s degree in vocational studies will get industrial training from some of the highly reputed and identified companies as well as PSUs. For this purpose, colleges have already identified PSUs and companies wherefrom experts will interact with the students.
