Students get disappointed as the DU cut offs soar even higher this year. Delhi University announced the cut off list for the Delhi University Admission Session 2015, today, June 25, 2015. Delhi University had received a total of 2,91,819 applications this year. BA English (Hons) stood out as the most favoured course as it received the maximum number of applications, a total of 90,331 applications. This was followed by BCom, BCom (Hons), which were the second and third favourite courses, with a total of 71505 and 68,866 applications respectively.
The first look at the cut-off list for arts and commerce 2015 would not reveal any 100 per cent cut offs but there are a few hidden criteria that result in the cut off list soaring beyond the 100 per cent. Candidates, who didn’t study economics as a subject in their Class XII, would need a whopping 100.75 per cent in the best of four to take admission in the Economics (Hons) offered by Shri Ram College Of Commerce (SRCC).
Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) has also set a similar benchmark for admission to its Psychology (Hons), candidates who didn’t study Psychology in class XII need a 100.5% in the BO4 to study the subject in the college.
It is due to the 2.5% penalty for stream changes that the cut off for a lot of subjects is a 100 per cent this year. Students who didn’t study Economics in class XII would need a 100 per cent of more to study the subject in Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Hindu, Hans Raj College, Kirori Mal Collge (KMC), Ramjas, LSR and Miranda House.
