After much speculation, the Delhi University (DU) administration has finally decided to go ahead with the entrance exam for admission to its 4 year Bachelor's with Honours course in Management Studies (BMS).
The course was introduced with the FYUP (Four-Year Undergraduate Programme) in the academic year 2013-14.
According to officials from DU, admissions to the BMS programme will be based on an entrance test and the Class 12 best-of-four percentage. Both scores will be given equal weightage (50% each).
The BMS course was added to the curriculum last year. It is a combination of the three most popular programmes: Bachelor of Business Economics (BBE), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Bachelor of Financial Investment and Analysis (BFIA).
A total of 840 seats are on offer and eligible candidates can get admission in any of the 6 colleges offering the programme, including Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (CBS), College of Vocational Studies (CVS), Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Maharaja Agrasen College, Bhim Rao Ambedkar College and Deen Dayal Upadhyay College.
