About Engineering:

Engineering has been among the top most career choices for students. Each year, young kids apply for various engineering colleges to achieve their dreams. This year too, applicants in huge number applied for the admission 2012-13.

Admission to engineering colleges entails an entrance test. While few institutes conduct their own entrance exams, some consider the rank acquired in AIEEE or IITJEE. The admission process starts from the month of April and continues till the month of August. Counseling for few institutes is still under process. Schedule of counseling to few engineering colleges has been mentioned below:


DCE CEE/DTU Admission 2012:
 

• The first round of counseling for Admission in DCE/DTU CEE began on July 2, 2012 while the second and third rounds were scheduled on July 10, 2012 and July 16, 2012.
• Candidates who were not allotted any branch even in the third round of counseling are required to report physically on July 20, 2012 and July 21, 2012 at DTU.
• The candidates need to bring original AIEEE admit card/AIEEE score card and copy of registration form along with a proper authorization letter signed by applicant.
• Students can freeze the branch of their choice by submitting branch freezing request during reporting days of each round of counseling. Branch freezing is also available on official website of DCE/DTU.
• Students who have not filled any choice and have registered can also mark their attendance on the remaining days of counseling. They will be considered for admission in SPOT round of counseling.

AIEEE seat allotment schedule 2012-13:

The first round for allotment seats for engineering aspirants began from June 27, 2012. The students who still haven’t been allotted seats need not to get disheartened as the fourth round for the allotment of seats will be conducted on July 25, 2012:
 

• Students can apply online for modification of choices from July 17, 2012 till July 22, 2012.
• Students who did not register till date can do a fresh registration by filling up and locking choices on the above mentioned dates.
• The fourth round will be held on July 25, 2012.

•    Students should proceed to institutes allotted to them against the fourth round by July 30, 2012.

• Internal sliding or upgrading the branch will be available for students from August 1, 2012.
• The vacancy position will be displayed on the official website of Central Counseling Board from August 2, 2012.
• Spot round for eligible students will begin from August 3, 2012 till August 6, 2012.
• The seat allotment for automatic admission will be held on August 8, 2012.
• Allotment of institutes for Spot round will be held on August 9, 2012.

Indian Institute of Maritime Studies B.Tech B.Sc Admission 2012:

There is no separate entrance examination for admission in Indian Institute of Maritime Studies. The admission is based on the IIT-JEE score acquired by students. The counseling for shortlisted candidates can occur anytime between the month of July and August.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2012-2013 Schedule:

The counseling for Tamil Nadu Engineering admission 2012-13 began from July 5, 2012. The Academic general counseling commenced from July 13, 2012 till August 14, 2012.

Anna University Counselling Schedule 2012:

Anna University Academic General counseling began on July 9, 2012 and will continue till August 12, 2012. The counseling schedule began from July 1, 2012 for admission in B.E Engineering.
