About AIIMS
All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was established in 1956 as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India.
Applications are invited in the prescribed form through online mode for admission to the following post-graduate and post doctoral programmes for January, 2012 session.
Post-Graduate: MD / MS / M.Ch. (6 yrs.)/ MDS / MHA
Post Doctoral: DM / M.Ch. courses as well as Ph.D. Programme

Application Fees for Post Graduate & Post Doctoral Courses in AIIMS 2012
The prospectus is available on the AIIMS website here and must be read carefully by the applicants before applying. The application fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 800/- for SC/ST candidates)
Application Procedure for Post Graduate & Post Doctoral Courses in AIIMS 2012
A candidate can submit application Online through internet only. The candidates can pay the application fee through a Challan Form (to be downloaded from the internet while applying online) in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). Transaction / Processing Fee as applicable will be payable to the Bank by the candidates.
NOTE :
1. Sponsored candidates of Central / State Government / Armed Forces / PSU / Autonomous Bodies as well as Foreign National candidates are also requiredto fill in the prescribed online application form including their choice of subject / discipline (only one subject / discipline).
2. The Foreign Nationals are required to send their application (downloaded copy of Registration Slips) through Diplomatic Channel.
3. Such Sponsored as well as Foreign National candidates are required to appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination along with other candidates.
