Admissions to FDDI (Footwear Design & Development Institute) are open for the academic year 2012-13.


About FDDI

Footwear Design & Development Institute popularly known as FDDI is rated among the premier design and management institutions in the world. FDDI was set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India in the year 1986 with an objective to provide human resource and technical services to the industry.

The institute conducts wide range of professional programmes in the area of Retail Management, Footwear Design, Technology, Management, Fashion Merchandising, Visual Merchandizing, Marketing, Creative Designing & CAD/CAM and Leather Goods & Accessories Design etc. The long-term programmes are of two to three years duration. All programmes offered by the institute meet the international standards.


Courses offered at FDDI

FDDI offers the following courses after 10+2:

  • B.Sc. (Footwear Technology) – 3 Years
  • B.Sc. (Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management) – 3 Years
  • B.Sc. (Leather Goods & Accessories Design) – 3 Years
  • Footwear Manufacturing Technology (FMT) – 6 Months

FDDI offers the following courses after graduation:

  • M.Sc. (Footwear Technology) – 2 Years
  • M.Sc. (Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management) – 2 Years
  • M.Sc. (Creative Design & CAD/CAM) – 2 Years
  • M.Sc. (Leather Goods & Accessories Design) - 2 Years
  • M.Sc. (Visual Merchandising & Communication Design) – 2 Years 
  • M.Sc. (Productivity & Quality Managament) – 2 Years

All the long-term programmes are conducted at FDDI NOIDA, FDDI Fursatganj, FDDI Chennai, FDDI Kolkata, FDDI Rohtak and FDDI Chhindwara campuses. However, a few short-term course are also conducted at FDDI Noida & FDDI Chennai centre.

 

For admissions to these UG & PG courses, FDDI will be conducting an entrance test (AIST 2012: All India Selection Test), which will be followed by Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Creative Ability Test. If you are applying as an Industry sponsored candidate you need not to appear for written test you will be directly called for Personal Interview and Creative Ability Test.
