1) Research Opportunities: Fascinated by graffiti, traffic, history, and environment issues? If yes, you can dedicate your winter holidays to something you have always wanted to learn more about. Get associated with a research organisation like the Centre for Policy Research. 2) E-learning Companies:  Here you get an opportunity to get a firsthand experience of corporate culture. “Interns get to operate on live projects. We are also on the lookout for interns who are willing to teach students in the US. Interns can get associated with us to teach subjects like mathematics, physics, statistics and biology Class 12 onwards. It is a good way to utilise your time, revise in the process and make good money as well,” says Ankit Srivastava, deputy general manager, Liqvid e Learning Services. 3) Event Management: You can approach various event management firms for work. Most companies offer work to people on a per day basis or per project basis. You can learn the nuances of planning and executing things by being a part of a firm

4) Advertising and PR: Says Purnima Sharma, a student at Delhi University, “I handled the account of a big brand as an intern in the summer vacations this year.” The experience, adds Sharma, “helped me gain tremendous exposure and learn a lot. I would suggest fellow students who are interested to get into PR to do the same.”

5) Student bodies: There are many student bodies like Leaders for Tomorrow, Youth for Policy and Dialogue which offer young people a platform for working on social issues. Those who are interested can work for women’s rights, people with disabilities, anti-drug and anti-corruption campaigns and much more.
