The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2015 will be commenced between January 31, 2015 and February 14, 2015. The application process will start from September 1, 2014. Interested candidates can apply online through the zonal GATE websites of IISc or any of the seven IITs.
GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) for admissions to graduate programmes in various engineering and science disciplines in the country.
The GATE 2015 score will be valid for a period of three years from the date of announcement of results. All the papers in GATE 2015 will be held in online mode only and few of the exams will be conducted in multiple sessions.
During the online GATE 2015 examination, all candidates will be provided with an online scientific calculator which has to be used to answer the questions.
For GATE 2015 the entire process of filling up of application form, uploading of certificates/documents, etc., will be online and the candidates need not sent any hard copy of their application form/documents to any of the IIT/IISc zonal GATE office.
